Meridian works with Healthcare Providers achieving significant, sustainable advances in performance whilst simultaneously achieving real savings. Meridian offers a return on investment (ROI) in excess of 250% on all of our projects and also offers a 1:1 fee guarantee and protection from any in-year financial budgetary exposure.

Analysis

At our cost we undertake an analysis in partnership with staff to identify key areas where sustainable, measurable and meaningful change can be implemented.

Implementation

We commence the project immediately post presentation of the proposal and work in hands-on partnership to implement the sustainable change required to deliver the impactful outcomes laid out in the proposal.

Perpetuation

Meridian builds long term relationships that extend beyond project implementation, monitoring and measuring ongoing success to provide transparency and assurance that the optimal ongoing operational efficiency is being achieved.

Testimonials
Tony Campbell
Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust
Chief Operating Officer (Outpatients, Theatres and Imaging)

The Meridian team were very well received and engaged the staff from project start to end which enabled us to achieve £321,729 savings in Imaging, £302,423 savings in Outpatients and £232,975 savings in Theatres.

Meridian were able to work collaboratively to focus their time and efforts on the areas pin-pointed not only by themselves and other external bodies such as the model hospital, but also by the areas of need described by Chesterfield staff.

Sue Wallace-Bonner
Halton Borough Council
Director of Adult Services (Complex Care and Initial Assessment)

Working with Meridian has been a very positive experience for the organisation and we are already looking at further opportunities for improvement within the organisation. We would thus highly recommend them to other organisations to achieve real cost and efficiency results.

Dr. Ken Walsh
Cork University Group of Hospitals
Perioperative Clinical Director (Theatres)

The hospital is now in position to assess the current capacity surplus or deficit in each specialty versus the demand using factual information. With the use of the Capacity Planner the management team can review the workload of all consultants against the national targets and take appropriate actions to meet the demand and the patient treatment goals.

All available sessions are now utilised and the management team all take part in the decision making process with regards to staff management, waiting list management and taking actions on identified problems.

Gary O'Hare
Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust
Executive Director of Nursing and Operations

For the first time the managers and staff in the Bamburgh Clinic have the ability to demonstrate the amount of ‘meaningful’ activity delivered to patients in a clear and dynamic way.

What made the real impact on the service was the staff’s ownership and engagement achieved through the ‘Meridian’ way of working.

Stephen Higgins
Our Lady’s Hospice and Care Services Dublin
MB MRCPI Consultant in Palliative Medicine & Medical Director of Palliative Services (Inpatient Services)

In July of this year it will be two years from when the initial phase of the change project was completed. My initial impression was of a project that had gone very well and thankfully the subsequent two years have confirmed this. Changes implemented in the first 6 months have led to long-term changes in data capture, in how staff relate to and work with each other, and in how and when patients are admitted to our service. Objective output measures such as bed occupancy and the number of admissions have shown clear improvements.

Simon Morritt
Sheffield Children’s NHS Foundation Trust
Chief Executive Officer (Outpatients and Theatres)

The project has generated £589,480 in increased revenue over the project’s 14 week duration. We have already generated a 3:1 return on investment in the life of the project and the total annualised increase in revenue has been measured at £6,593,531, should the improved performance be sustained.

Grant Sugden
Waverley Care Edinburgh
Chief Executive Officer (Residential and Outreach Services)

They have given us a more transparent, systematic approach to managing the performance of our people by utilising a series of quality reports which has enabled us to ensure that all staff are meeting their Service User contact targets, Service User Expected Discharge Dates and the demand generated from each Service Users’ care plan.

The Service has just had an inspection from the Care Inspectorate who provided us with our best review on record and specifically mentioned the hard work and improvement Meridian have made.
